"Speed On Brother, Hell
Ain't Half Full Yet!"
That's what the bumper sticker said on the
old faded green Dodge truck down the street on the block where I grew
up. It was a simple message, one of implied truth
and wisdom. It said we were all in this together,
all of us, on the road to wherever it was we were headed. The
message was also clear what happened to speeders who ran afoul of the
laws of physics and could not control their vehicle. Yep,
they were going to hell. Lawbreaking speeders have
no place on the highway, in my view. They cause
untold damage to life and property. How many times have I seen a
speeder going 20 miles or more above the limit, weaving in and out of
law abiding citizens, rushing headlong into oblivion?
This site is for those who share my concern about safety on the highway.
It is for those who want to share a rant or two
about the time someone almost did them in through negligence and
unnecessary speed or share a story about the particulars of something
they witnessed. Please submit your relevant story to aaron@speedonbrother.com -
upon approval, it will appear in the forum for the visitors of this
website.
If you want to share the message
of creating a more sane commute or trip along the highway, go ahead and
order one of my stickers, faithfully reprinted on long-lasting vinyl
sticky-backed material. You may just save a life or two.
